FOBP is a volunteer network of individuals assisting the Bellaire Police Department find homes/rescues for the city's pound dogs! We receive no federal, state, or local government funding and rely solely on donations. FOBP is committed to improving the welfare of dogs throughout our community by finding foster homes, forever homes and raising funds for their care.
FOBP seeks help from the community in several ways: monetary donations, item donations, volunteers and those who open their homes to animals at risk.
Monetary donations to FOBP help pay for veterinary bills, blankets, pet supplies and more. Every cent helps these dogs. Donated items also make a difference in the lives of these dogs. Stay tuned for wish lists of items throughout the year. Donated items can be dropped off at the Bellaire Police Station during regular business hours.
Volunteers are the backbone to the FOBP’s mission of helping homeless dogs find a home and helping animal cruelty survivors recover more quickly by giving them love. If you would like to help better the lives of the homeless animals, your efforts really make a difference!
FOBP has focused on medical rehabilitation and the rescue of at-risk animals since 2019. All tax deductible charity donations made by the public go to the pound dogs, so you know that your donations are only being used to help at-risk animals (unless you specify otherwise).
FOBP is a non-profit 501c3 and not an official City department.
